The Balearic Islands are trendy. Mallorca and Ibiza are now established as two of the main tourist destinations in the world… but also as the best place to live according to recent international press coverage.
Mallorca is an idillyc Island in many respects and in addition to its well known beauty, it has also become a global centre in the nautical industry , providing valuable employment for several thousand people. Ibiza, is the fashionable destination among a growing international clientele including well known celebrities along with the rich and famous who seek the maximum expression of luxury.
These two Mediterranean Islands are perfeclty complementary, and are a perfect combination to guarantee enjoyment and the complete maintenance of any boat to the highest standard. And that’s exactly what Marina Ibiza, Astilleros de Mallorca, STP Shipyard Palma and Port Adriano can offer, and want to convey with the creation and announcement of this new joint project.
The success of a place dedicated to the sea and yachting is its ability to respond to any expectation or requirement that users of vessels can arise. There are many factors that come together and make Mallorca and Ibiza so special and unique in this regard.
Nautical facilities, either marinas or shipyards, as well as industrials and professionals operating in the islands, have caused Mallorca & Ibiza to become a compulsory stop for some of the greatest Superyachts on the planet and their presence has radically changed the face of nautical tourism in the Balearics over recent years.
For this reason, the promoters of this idea have taken the initiative to carryto the Monaco Yacht Show a small part of these islands and present the reasons why anyone with a boat should come and moor in the Balearic Islands. It is planned that on the first day of the fair, on Wednesday 23 September, from 5pm to 7pm, the Balearic Yacht Destination Project will be presented at the stand QL10 (Jetée Lucciana) of the Monaco Yacht Show with a welcome cocktail and some surprise.
