One more year and Marina Palma Cuarentena says goodbye to summer with its customers and friends hosting a barbecue. This year, we have taken the opportunity to inform our clients of the different actions which the marina carries out in order to preserve the environment and also show the certificates and awards it has thanks to its intense work in this field.
Besides being the most familiar and welcoming marina in the bay of Palma, Marina Palma Cuarentena is a marina with environmental awareness and thanks to marina staff who work every day to reduce the impact on the environment whilst also periodically implementing actions to educate their clients of the importance of their involvement and participation.
The barbecue organized in the marina last week to celebrate the end of summer was the best opportunity to publicize all the initiatives which are launched with environmental objectives and the progress that year after year is achieved to improve the environment. As an example, the importance of reducing the emission of CO2 to the atmosphere was explained and, for some years, Marina Palma Cuarentena has managed its CO2 emissions through its registration in the Carbon Footprint. As a result, in 2017 it was 25.2137 tons, 28,47% less than 2016, which was 35.2501 tons.
In addition, the marina is also registered with the ISO 9001 of quality, the ISO 14001 of environment and the EMAS registry for its Quality and Environmental Management System. In addition, it has also been awarded the Blue Flag since 2013, a recognition that is renewed year after year, thanks to the commitment to quality of service, facilities and environmental awareness work of the entire team.
The barbecue was a success among the attendees, who enjoyed a pleasant afternoon with friends. The familiarity of the marina favours the warm atmosphere among yacht owners who year after year choose Marina Palma Cuarentena as a port in Mallorca for their holidays or to stay moored there all year round. And in the end the customers already know each other, and the marina is a point of annual reunion of old acquaintances.
