Varadero Valencia was the shipyard chosen by the classic sailboat Oriole to carry out the refit and maintenance works, which lasted for 8 months. Oriole is a classic boat of 1905 designed by Herreshoff in wood, which last year was lifted out in the facilities of Varadero Valencia to perform various works of maintenance and the survey.
The shipyard, which has specialists in all areas of repair, has experts in wood works and thanks to The Carpentry, which is the new division of carpentry installed within Varadero Valencia, the results are extraordinary.
The boat that measures 13.25 m in length and 2.70 m beam has spent a total of 8 months in the shipyard, for the first phase inside the shed and later outside.
The main repair works that have been carried out to Oriole have been the painting of the hull by the company Monzó Yacht Painting including the application of antifouling after sanding the underwater part of the hull. There has also been an exhaustive review of the main engine of, review of the seacocks and some works at the prop shaft in addition to the renewal of the electrics, the installation of two tanks under the cuddy and the repair of a brass valve.
After all these works the classic Oriole, launched at 1905, has been perfect to continue navigating the Valencian seas with total security and boasting of her mature beauty and improved after its refit.
