STP Shipyard Palma, as every year, ushered in the summer season with its exclusive event for captains at a very special venue in Palma and in collaboration with Burgess and Estela Shipping. The setting for the occasion this year was the Hotel Mamá which welcomed numerous customers and long-time friends of the yard.

Each year, STP chooses a special location in the city of Palma with a view to truly wowing guests and giving them an insight into their temporary home during their refit & repair projects. This year they were invited to navigate through the city’s old quarter to a recently opened urban hotel, located in an iconic building on Plaza de Cort, exquisitely refurbished and converted into a stunning five-star hotel.

The guests were visibly captivated by the venue this year, completely different from previous locations. The hotel’s inner courtyard was chosen for the event thanks to its architectural appeal and delightful décor. Huge iron-framed windows and impressive plants were just two of the head turning features at the property.

The dinner was simply exquisite and also different from previous editions, as the menu was so eclectic that guests could sabour everything from sushi from mini burgers.

Several draws were held during the evening and STP presented two invitations for dinner at a restaurant in Paseo Marítimo.

The evento as such ended relatively early, although the atmosphere was so electric that some guests chose to stay on at the hotel for a few more hours enjoying each other’s company. This just goes to prove that STP isn’t just an excellent shipyard with great views of Palma Cathedral, but also a place where the captains spend long periods of time and end up forging lifelong friendships.
