As usual, STP Shipyard Palma has participated once more in the Palma Refit Tournament. This time, in addition to delivering an award as it has been doing in each edition of this interesting tournament, it also sponsored the hole 10 bar. And the charity character of this event has been key for the shipyard when it comes to strengthening its presence and involvement.
The STP-sponsored bar still worked as a stop for the 60 players to regain strength and continue playing the 18 holes of the extraordinary Maioris golf course.
After the tournament there was a lovely meal and the awards ceremony together with an auction in which STP also participated with the gift consisting of a dinner for two people in a Michelin Star restaurant in Mallorca.
And the winner of the STP prize at the charity auction was Peter Stanbrook, who will surely enjoy the dinner at a Michelin star in Palma de Mallorca, having also contributed his donation for the children of Majorca.
The Palma Refit Tournament is an event for captains and people from the nautical sector that is held every year to recover funds or different NGOs. On this occasion, the collection of 6000€ will go to the JoyRon Foundation, which helps the most needy children in the Balearic Islands. The founder, Ronal Hawes, a retired London banker, along with his wife Josephine founded this Foundation whose long-term goal is to study the feasibility and subsidise the creation in Mallorca of the Special Care Center for children with serious illnesses.
STP Shipyard Palma continues with its line of participation in charity events as part of its social responsibility activity, contributing its collaboration in all those projects aimed at helping the most disadvantaged.
