Varadero Valencia was part of the Management and Organization of the Nautical-Sports Center Seminar taught by the Sailing Federation of the Valencia Community. Elsa Schleissner, Project Manager of Varadero Valencia was the speaker in charge to expose the management system of a shipyard in a nautical center.

The objective of the seminar was to publicize the systems of integral management and organization of a nautical sports center, so that attendees could understand in a global way the different needs that the management of this type of facility requires. To do this, the Sailing Federation invited as speakers, specialists in the nautical sector with years of experience in this field, who could contribute their vision and therefore add value to the seminar.

This is the case of Elsa Schleissner, Project Manager of Varadero Valencia and experienced sailor. Elsa has competed in numerous races of international prestige, having twice won the Spanish match racing championship, and a ladies cup of the Principe de Asturias Trophy. She is currently cruising, her hobby since she was a child, along with her experience as a Project Manager in the shipyard are the main reasons why she was invited as a speaker at this seminar.

Elsa shared with the assistants her knowledge as a project manager for refit and maintenance, projects of a reference shipyard as Varadero Valencia. Actually, she manages several projects, and some of them are carried out outside Varadero Valencia, for example in La Marina de Valencia, where Varadero Valencia has a commercial office.

During her speech, she explained different works that are carried out in this technical area, as well as the system of work used to manage the different projects simultaneously and how to carry out a successful project. She also made a general review of the various computer tools necessary for such management and the skills needed to manage a project and a team of specialists in repair and maintenance of vessels among which stand out the organization, leadership and resolution of problems.

Varadero Valencia once again show its interest in supporting these educational and training initiatives with the aim of strengthening the nautical sector and investing in what will be the future specialists that will become the pillar of the level of quality and prestige of the local sector.
